Listen, I came across some old polyvore outfits that I styled back in 2017 and was like “damn girl, you a stylist or whateva.” Decided to post them on instagram and feedback was crazy. I’m talking eleven “likes,” including my own because I do like my own pics, five comments, one “share to story,” and one direct message. Like give me the blue check already! Lol

Anyway, those weren’t the only photos I came across from my earlier blogs but all of them really motivated me. They reinspired me to get back in touch with my creative side. To be consistent and continuously do the things that I truly enjoy.

With that being said I knew that I needed to start immediately so I decided to look for another app similar to polyvore so that I could virtually style outfits again. I loved that app so much, I literally spent hours upon hours on that app. Check out some of the looks I styled via polyvore below.

First things first, if you have been looking for an app similar to polyvore, DO NOT waste your money on SmartCloset.

It costs like $4 and is not worth a dime. It’s extremely hard to locate items, many of the items are photographed on people, and there aren’t any embellishments. It does allow you to upload pics from other places though.

Here’s an outfit I managed to put together from the app.

Learn from my mistakes though baby. Don’t you buy that app.

A few days later I went back to look for another app to use and came across what I would say is a close second to polyvore, ShopLook.

The best part about this app is that it’s free. It does have some of the same options that polyvore had like the search bar, collections, likes, and challenges to name a few. The only things that I don’t like is that it takes forever to find great items to style and they don’t have as many embellishments. But overall, it’s worth the download.

As you all may or may not know, last year I had decided to wear black for an entire year. I did stop before the year was over and start wearing all of my clothes again but it was definitely fun while it lasted. So here are two all black looks to kick off the fashion and style journey.

Let me know what you think. I cant wait to showcase my styling abilities. New Looks every week.
