Welcome back to 9 Days of Reflection During The Pandemic. If you missed the introduction/day 1 you can check it out here. Although this is a very trying time for all of us and a devastating time for many, COVID-19 has something special for all of you and it is up to you to realize what it is. I am hoping this series will bring you closer to figuring it out.

Day 2: What is the first activity or place that you want to return to?
Maryland. The first place I want to return to is Maryland. I really miss my family. It’s something about not being able to see them in person whenever I want to that tugs at my heartstrings. Even though after two days I know I’ll be ready to leave. Lol
My family and I have always been pretty close knit. Growing up we were super close and have all lived together at some point. However, for some more than others I realized our relationships have been fairly surface level. As some of us got older and entered different phases of life everyone seemed to drift apart. Though now that we are all older and acclimated to adult life, I think that it would be possible to return to that closeness but on a deeper level.
Whenever we get together it is always a good time but, we don’t get together as much as we used to. Hopefully this pandemic has given everyone the reality check that is:
“Life is too short.”
…and maybe we will get together more, call each other more, and openly love on each other.

Let me know what the first thing you want to return to is in the comments below!
Question for Day 3: In what ways has COVID-19 benefited you and your family?
