In my previous post I mentioned there were tons of new ideas I was looking forward to implementing next month. After brainstorming some ideas for creative content to post during the rest of the month, I decided to go ahead and implement one new idea now: themes. So each week going forward there will be a theme. The theme won’t always be introduced to you all but I am sure you will be able to figure it out. However, today I am here to inform you of the theme for this week.
Family
That’s right, the theme this week is family. With Father’s Day being Sunday June 21st, the start of the week, I decided that it would be a fitting theme.
Make sure that you follow me on instagram and twitter because topics relating to the themes will spill over, if you will, onto these other platforms. Some of the information on these platforms won’t be shared on the blog itself. So I will wait while you go follow.

Thank you for following, you will not regret it.

Now that we have that out the way, today we will do a quick check in. First things first, we moved! I am super excited that we finally found a place. We do have two roommates but the location is to die for. We are so close to everything! Our patience and persistence paid off. We are both extremely excited and happy for this new chapter.

I am officially a plant mom, I started a container garden.
I joined an urban gardeners group on facebook where I asked for advice on first timer friendly things to plant and a nice lady by the name of Danielle gave me free tomato and hot pepper seedlings to plant. She was also nice enough to throw in some lavender, basil, and spinach seeds in an envelope signed “Good luck with your garden.” So at the moment I have tomatoes, basil, spinach, chives, lavender, aloe vera, and an arboricola Hong Kong plant.
Being as though we live in a shared house, I have my container garden on my balcony and I am super excited about it. You can follow along on my gardening journey via my instagram story. I have a highlight specifically for them titled Plants.
I am still working from home. I have officially listed the van for sale on multiple platforms but have only been getting offers of $200 so far. Such a bummer. If no one purchases the van by the end of next week I am going to call the junk car place and just have someone come get it. The hassle of going back and forth with people who have no intentions of actually making the purchase can get exhausting.
Anyway, that is all that I have for the update. Thank you for tapping in!
Here are five of the many things you can look forward to this week:
- Lessons from my childhood
- Tips on how to deal with and identify toxic familial relationships
- My biggest family secret and the effects it has/had on me
- Throwback photos
- The importance of changing familial relationship dynamics as you grow older

I want to hear from you!
- What are some things you would like to see or discuss during the family theme of this upcoming week?
- An update on your life. Anything that you are willing to share.
Come back Sunday for “Three Things I Learned From My Father.”
