Last Post of The Year.

December 27, 2020Categories Uncategorized4 Comments on Last Post of The Year.

Can’t remember the last time I wrote a blog post but we’re here now. There are only four more days left in 2020 and I felt it was only right to do one more blog post to wrap up the year. These last few months have been crazy. I will not get all into what’s…

My Coming Out Story?

As some of you know I have been dating women since my senior year of high school. Though many people are not aware that I date women or wouldn’t be if I didn’t post pictures of my girlfriend and I on Instagram. It isn’t something that I keep a secret but really hasn’t been something…

Peace and Quiet

April 28, 2020October 13, 2020Categories UncategorizedLeave a Comment on Peace and Quiet

The house is quiet for once. I sit at the kitchen table with a cup of Yogi Stress Relief tea in a black and white mug that reads “courage” on the front with a short poem about it on the back. Colbie Caillat Try is blasting through my headphones as I type this. I am…

It’s Not All Bad

April 14, 2020October 13, 2020Categories UncategorizedLeave a Comment on It’s Not All Bad

Currently in my feelings. Decided to turn on some music and write. Rod Wave is blasting through the speakers of my headphones. For some reason I am unable to bring myself to write a sad post. Seems as if I have been complaining a lot lately so today I am acknowledging the fact that it’s…

The Girl Behind The Laptop

Just a regular schmegular P.G. County girl who is obsessed will all things creativity.

I have a huge desire to pour into the black community in a way that will encourage us to be more knowledgeable, supportive, healthy, self sufficient and empathetic. It is important that we break generational curses and take advantage of the information that is available to us. This blog will allow me to connect with women of color in order to build a sense of community, love, empathy, and understanding amongst us.

We are the first step.

Hello loves! 🤗 I am Michaela (My-Kayla) Necol (Knee-Cole), the girl behind the laptop 👩🏾‍💻 at 𝐰𝐰𝐰.𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐲𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜.𝐜𝐨𝐦 and I want to hear from you!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sunday is coming to an end and Monday is slowly approaching. As you prepare to work your white man gig this week, remember that your 9 to 5 is temporary. While you need it to pay your bills and fund your dreams do not give it priority over what it is that you need to do to reach your end goal. Stop treating your dreams like part-time jobs and hobbies or they will never become anything more. You got this girl! 💖
Missing my sweet 𝑵𝒂𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒉. 🐱⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One thing I really wanted for my birthday this year was the @brandonblackwoodnyc Jumbo Kuei in the color brown and they went so fast that I didn’t get to make the purchase. 😩 So instead I decided to style a fun birthday look for myself to pretend I am wearing as I walk around doing all my COVID cautious birthday things. I am definitely grabbing one on the restock! 🤞🏾⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ᴀ ᴍᴏᴍᴇɴᴛ ᴏꜰ ʀᴇꜰʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ: A few days ago I realized that all I have ever wanted was to be accepted and supported by my family. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘴. Though what I am saying is that it just dawned on me that I run to my family with news and ideas hoping for their support, approval, and/or encouragement . Most of the time those are not responses that I receive. I immediately started to run through my life as a child looking for experiences that prove this to be untrue but with the exception of my earlier years of all star cheerleading I found none. Somehow I believe this to be the reason I am a jack of all trades and a master of none. But that will soon change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
