Welcome back to 9 Days of Reflection During The Pandemic. If you missed the introduction/day 1 you can check it out here. Today is the third day and I am so happy that you are still with us, there are only six days left. Feel free to go back to the previous posts and participate in the reflection question for those days. Answering these questions have allowed me to look at the time during this pandemic in a more beneficial way. I hope it does the same for you.

Day 3: In what ways has COVID-19 benefited you and your family?
For the last six years I have been living in a different state than my family which means I am not able to see them whenever I want to. This has kept me away from them and caused me to miss out on family gatherings and events, plus as I mentioned in Day Two we have all slightly drifted apart. However COVID-19 has allowed my family members, even those we only see on special occasions, to get together and enjoy each others company on a huge FaceTime birthday party for my Aunt Nickee. It was a whole bunch of fun and super refreshing to see everyone, even if it wasn’t in person. COVID-19 has also allowed my immediate family to show up and show support for one another in many ways…ways that we haven’t in a long time.
I have read online about the many benefits that COVID-19 has offered families and it warms my heart. Something as “simple” as them getting together to eat dinner at the table every night is monumental. And to think, if it wasn’t for the pandemic this wouldn’t have happened. Had my family and I been quarantined together I like to think that would be us…reverting to the things we did before technology took over.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing your responses to this question. I am sure that everyone would love to hear some more positive COVID stories. Comment them below.
Question for Day 4: What are your worries now and after COVID-19?
